Bow Tie Pasta

Instead of a black-tie affair, make it a bow tie one and I’ll be there.

Ingredients:
➼ 2 eggs
➼ 1/4 cup oil
➼ 2 cups flour

Directions:
1. Put 2 cups of flour inside your Kitchen Aid bowl and create a little bowl for eggs and oil to be poured into
2. Crack 2 eggs and pour oil into the flour bowl
3. Put on the hook attachment and turn on a low to medium speed for 15-20 minutes or until a dough ball is formed
4. Take out the dough ball and lightly press into the dough. If the dough bounces back, it is ready
5. Half into two discs and wrap tightly in Saran Wrap
6. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes at room temperature
7. Cut the dough into 4 pieces
8. Run each piece through the flattener attachment. Start at the “1” thickness and work up to difference thickness. I like thickness 8 for bow tie pasta. Run the dough through 2 times per thickness
9. Lay your flattened dough strip out and place on a floured surface
10. Use your cutting tool and cut the outsides (vertical with the crimped edge
11. Cut into individual shapes with the flat edge (horizontal)
12. Take your index finger from one hand and push in the center. Use your index finger and thumb of the other hand and squeeze together to make the bow tie shape
13. Lay out 24 hours to dry and enjoy in this pasta and meatballs dish for later! Enjoy!
