5 Minute Pie Crust

Homemade Pie Crust

Ingredients:
➼ 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
➼ 1 teaspoon of salt
➼ 1 stick of cold butter
➼10-12 tablespoons of cold water

Directions:
1. Mix 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt together in a bowl.
2, Cut 1 stick of cold butter into cubes and place in the bowl.
3. Cut the butter into the flour mixture until the dough mixture represents small balls.
4. Take 10-12 tablespoons of ice water and pour into the dough mixture.
5. Work the water into the dough until you get a dough ball.
6. Do not work the dough long. This will make the dough tough instead of flakey.
7. Place on a floured surface. Roll out with a rolling pin or store for later in a Ziploc baggie or Saran wrap.
